Doesn't matter. I been in a ton of fights. That's what I did in high school and into my 20's. Go to the bar get drunk and get into a fight. I also wrestled since I was 4. Even when I was in my 20's I was still wrestling in open tournaments. Most my fights went to the ground. That's where I was most comfortable. All that to say, I still carry every where I go. Obviously now I have a ton to lose and wouldn't choose to fight unless I had to.

If someone approaches me without a weapon and starts attacking me, I'm not going to pull out my gun. Even if that guys starts beating my ass I would not pull out my gun unless I thought my life was in danger. Even then I would be hopeful that showing that I had a gun would be enough to scare that person away. I believe you think that we would pull our gun out anytime we felt in danger. Not true.

Agreed on last part as well.


I mean fucks sake, you can easily strike a person hard enough and that could kill him, a weapon isn't always needed or the answer.

I've had my ass kicked, sure. Never did I pull the piece out either.

Just because someone is about to man up to you, does not mean to pull a gun out because you felt in danger of your life, that shit will not fly in court.


I'd rather have a split eye or lips before I'd pull the trigger...besides, it really is tons of fun to fight believe it or not:agreed:

I have always enjoyed fighting anywhere anytime, I still would but way too much at risk...but I'd get scrappy if need be.

I don't "carry" a weapon. Has nothing to do with confidence. I don't walk around scared. "Boy I hope I don't get beat up today!" Lol

It's about home defense. Doesn't matter if you are an MMA champ. If someone gets into your house with a gun and all you got is your hands you have very little chance.

thats my point. fighting and owning a firearm are separate issues. i don't carry around town. if i did i sure as hell wouldn't be pulling a gun on anyone. fighting is fighting. having a gun for the protection of your family and property is a completely different matter.

Bottom line...everyone should be walking around with katanas and knives and throwing stars....at least one hand gun and mayne a crossbow and a grappling hook....
But in order to use a weapon you need to know how to use a weapon.

Look at the military..young kids come in and they drill them over and over again to use a knife or whatever... you can't thrust a knife in between ribs if you have no clue and are scared and recoiling in fear cause you are being atracked...
In order to effectively use a knife you have to be 100% committed to destroying the other person. Aggressive and cool. Pushing a kbar blade into a human torso requires alot of force and alot of second nature type thinking that only comes from training.

I was in a situation once...looked like I was gonna get jumped and I pull out a fold knife that had a flick function. The blade was like 3 inches so it was small.
Those guys turned around and walked away.
But I'm a shaved head weight lifter and look crazy . So that helped. And I will fucking slash and stab like a crazy mofo but a girl won't get taken seriously I'm afraid. That's why she needs to truly know how to use that weapon cause she most likely will get challegend.
