If you can't understand what I said in my post about a 300lb person vs a 150lb person then I don't know what to tell you. Jesus. I was clear as day and you still completely misunderstood.Originally posted by rado View PostNo you dumb fuck...did you not type that yourself? Talking about a person and even stated it clearly.

Wow....I just said THAT....no I don't think a 150lbs of a PERSON difference is going to throw off your mpg...no!Originally posted by Bouncer View PostIf you can't understand what I said in my post about a 300lb person vs a 150lb person then I don't know what to tell you. A truck weighs twice the amount of a car. For that reason they are not very fuel efficient in comparison.
Now take a healthy 300lb guy and a healthy 150lb guy. Which guy do you think is going to gas quicker running up stairs?
See what I'm saying now? Nothing to do with the weight of a person lowering the vehicles mpg. The heavier something is the quicker it will gas.

I like small cars myself. The two topics hit on are two of the biggest reasons. Cost and fuel economy. That and I just do not feel comfortable driving big vehicles or being high off the ground. Last year when we purchased a car we looked at new Ford Focus's and Fusions. Going into 30k for a car is not an option for me so with Ford out my choices are more limited. Fine whatever, I just don't want to see other manufacturers follow suit and leave me having to buy big, used, shit.

Chevy will follow suit. Your options will be Honda, Toyota, Kia etc.. American car companies are done with the car market. We got a 2017 Honda Accord Sport. Great car believe it or not. Not what people usually think about when they think about Honda. Car has better interior tech then my Audi did.Originally posted by chuckz28 View PostI like small cars myself. i'd have a 4x4 truck if i lived in the woods or up in the mountains etc..Originally posted by A$AP View PostNo one here drives a truck?
but if you live in a suburb/city environment and don't need to haul around a bunch of stuff all the time what's the point? your just costing yourself a ton of money in gas/diesel.

You DO realize many diesel trucks and even reg gas ones, pretty much do as good as a sedan?
It is not that detrimental in mpg

I just bought the new Ford 150. I'm getting about 15 mpg. I could get more if I use the eco boost and leave the automatic shut off on. But that shutting off every time I stop at a red light is kinda annoying. I'm gonna leave it on and only drive in eco mode and see how much it makes a difference.Originally posted by A$AP View PostI love driving a truck, I personally can’t see myself driving a car everyday. I get about 17-18 mpg in my truck.

we average 29-30mpg in real world conditions in our car. if i really tried i could average probably 32-33mpg by coasting and not accelerating quickly etc..
so pretty much double the gas mileage. thats a pretty damn big difference.
it's an esspecially big difference when you consider that gas in california is almost a dollar more per gallon then the rest of the nation. right now regular is $3.60 a gallon and that's cheap compared to past years.
