  • Why We’re Proud Of Our Fat Bodies - BBC News

Nothing like glorifying fatness via one of the most respected international news sites on earth... :noo:

What the fuck is happening.. I feel like i'm in the god damn twilight zone.

"Being fat can feel rebellious.. Sometimes being fat is awesome".

I used to hate it. I wouldn’t eat. Now, of course, I realise there’s nothing wrong with me.

It would help if there were fat dolls out there for kids. Dolls like Barbie, have a totally unattainable shape. For everyone - of any size, race, whatever - it’s just not manageable.

Let's just start with 3 meals a day and go from there.

Since when did liberals become anti-science? Science says being a lard ass is unhealthy so why do we need to "be inclusive" for fat mother fuckers? Just makes me want to fat shame even more.

I don't think this is a liberal/conservative thing. I think it's a fat insecurity thing. They are trying to view their obesity as not a bad thing to make themselves feel better.

Here is another article. It has a lot of incorrect information in it.

There is a lot of inaccurate information in this article. The most horrid is the human body maladapts when you lose body weight.

If you lose weight your BMR decreases because of your lower body mass. You are going to have to keep eating at the calorie level you were at to reach that body weight or you will gain the weight back. There is no maladaptation for pretty much anyone who loses weight.

There was a study of the Biggest Looser contestants. Many had maladaptations but they are the exception to the rule and scientists are still confused why their bodies are as they are now.

it's not a liberal/conservative thing but if you had to bet money, which side would you bet these women identify with more? Lol

I feel like I'm not understanding exactly what your saying. They have to eat as much as before when they lose weight? I'm lost.

Not inherently, however I've never heard the right demand inclusion for any form of oppressed people.

If you lose weight, you have to keep eating at the lower calorie level you were eating at when you were thin or you will gain fat back. The smaller you are the lower your maintenance calories will be.

Yea and I'm still confused. Lol. He's basically saying once you lose weight you can't go back to eating the same amount of shit you ate when you were fat. Well no shit. Lol.
