Statins still reduce cholesterol without a doubt. The questions is whether cholesterol is a cause of heart disease. If we don't know for sure then we still can't risk it. My own personal beliefs aside.

I was taking to the doc yesterday who actually agreed with me on the LDL myth but he said they cannot use university studies. They can only use the research after it is published in medical journals. This won't happen anytime soon because of the trillions of $$$ statins make. There isnt much money in just telling people to reduce their carb consumption now is there.
