Anybody who has ridden street bikes knows that. You have to be hyper vigilant at all times and looking in every direction, check mirrors, check blind spots, expect every car around you to not check theirs, etc. It is why I sold my bike.

That kid could have moved, he's an idiot.

I would have moved easily. Kid wasn't paying attention.

When on a bike, you can't afford not to pay attention

Doesn't matter how vigiliant you are. I been blind sided to the point i fish tailed and the bike flipped over on me.
People need to know the risk.

These days people just don't look out for bikes.

A few days ago I watched a big f350 switch lanes with a bike in the lane right next to him forcing the bike to speed up beside the car in front of him.

I know its easy for bikes to get lost in that blind spot on the mirror but at least know what's going on around you before you even attempt a move.

Also way to many YOUNG INEXPERIENCED drivers on the dam roads these days.

It's one thing being blindsided as it is just so OBVIOUSLY called vs THAT video.

There's nothing BLIND other than 2 stupid drivers.

Agreed. Which is why I don't ride any more. No matter how careful you are, car drivers just don't see you. It's not worth it to me.

                      At times, avoidable though.

We can sit here all day and discuss how danger it is, and I agree. But I can also keep doing what I'm doing, and keep safe and vigilant.

Listen, when the time comes, it'll come. And I don't necessarily need to be on a bike when it's my turn to exit.
