i actually live here - no shit - and i kind of feel sorry for guys who spread stories on the base of "hearsay". fuck it i've been all over the world and its everywhere the same. YOU DO NEED PROTECTION, no matter where. generally the chix here are clean but it really depends where you like to hang out. if you in to bars for local collar workers and Thai soldier, well you got an almost 100% chance to catch some nasty shit.
btw. the (better) working girls always complain that it is the f*&^ing tourists who try to convince them to not use a condom - somehow figures...

russian. april is Thai New Year (Songkhran) and if you're planning trips you have to make sure to have tickets reserved. on the other hand its absolutely great fun with people splashing water around all day long and really wild street parties. the dates are april 12 - 15 and the wildest party is in the north, in Chiang Mai.
