As for the thread topic; yeah, the movie rocks! Great battles, suspense, humor and of course- Liv Tyler yet again

last part of the trilogy was great. it didn't follow the book exactly but I guess it couldn't otherwise it would have been 5 hours long, though i still would have watched it all. the books are definetly better than the movie. but they did a good job at capturing the essence of the book.

Well the begining of the third movie begins during the last third of the second book. Did you follow that :D Anyways my brothers had read the books and they also said it didn't follow the book exactly. But they also said alot of the stuff in the book would have seemed dragged out to a movie audience.

of course-because most movie audiences have the attention span of a ADHD cockerspaniels that wathces MTV all day. I would have loved to see each of the movies be 4 hours long and more in depth with the history and background. But of course hollywood needs money so they make movies to please people.

Tolkien was an absolute genius in modern times. He actually invented whole languages specifically for his stories. He was a professor at Oxford (I believe) but he never did really know how to end a novel cleanly. Sorry, my grammar sucks as of late(ly). LOL.
