I've had about a 6 pack over the course of the last 22 months since getting married. Told the wife I would be responsible and not let alcohol or other happy pills dictate my life. She grew up in a father whose father was a little abusive and was a complete drunk. I told her when we got married I wouldnt be anything like that and I would not get drunk anymore. I've kept my word. Sometimes a mans word is all we got.

    PEACE! KIR

Well, actually a man's word is all you have... all the time. Integrity - what an awesome core value, eh?

Thanks Shibby. Actually my mother-in-law is extremely happy and so are her brothers whenever I go to family functions and they ask if I want a drink and I just say water. I know they love the fact that I dont drive my wife and kids around drunk like her dad did to all of them.

Now when I go to family functions and I say..."Yeah get me a beer" Everyone stops and just looks and starts laughing at me even though I say it with a straight face. They all know I use to party but wont anymore out of respect for my wife and kids. Its kinda funny actually.

            PEACE! KIR

That will probably be me. I'm only and between growing up and dallas and spending the last year in Austin until I moved to Cali. Most can only see me as a partier. I never relized how much until I moved to cali back in Feb. There are the exceptions but Cali can't nearly drink like Texas :drunk: :D
