  • I need to buy some dvds

What are some must haves?? Generally, I like thriller/suspense, so any of those would be great. I typically don't like war or westerns...but ones like Braveheart, you have to have :)

    the godfather
    blow
    scarface
not really thrillers or suspense but I'd say they're some must haves.

            10. Pink Floyd The Wall
I tried to stay away from putting band films on the list because They usually aren't outstanding movies. But I managed to slip this one in because it is. This movie depicts the insanity and mental anguish that Roger Waters of Pink Floyd went through, at the time he wrote the album The Wall.

            9. Four Rooms
When I saw this amazing comedy about the adventures of the one bellhop on duty at the Mon Signor hotel, on New Years eve, I had to hyperventilate from laughing so hard. This is a collection of four different short films all surrounding one character: Ted the Bellhop (Tim Roth). Some have said that this movie was the down part of the careers of everyone involved. But after hearing those people's opinions I think that the people involved must have had an incredibly succussful career, then. So if you're in the mood for Tarantino, or just need a good laugh, I recommend this.

            8. Easy Rider
Kind of Old School but I just couldn't leave this one out.

            7. Go
I wasn't too fond of the script-writing for this one but I loved the direction and the format of the movie. This movie depicts the adventures of several characters, from their points of view of the day.

            6. Clerks
I am a huge Kevin Smith fan and I think that this one's got to be the best.

            5. Scarface
            Mandatory ownership. Nuff said.

            4. Reservoir Dogs
In my opinion, this is the best crime drama ever made. Mr. Pink, Mr. White, Mr. Orange, and Mr. Blonde believe that one of their collegues is a rat, after an unsuccessful robbery. What I think makes this a revolutionary crime drama is that it's a bank robbery movie and it doesn't ever show the robbery.

            3. Memento
A man with short-term memory loss hunts down the man who raped and killed his wife and injured him, giving him his disability. He uses notes, poleroids, and tatoos to remember the facts.

            2. Fight Club
This film was brilliantly written. A schitzo starts and under-ground fighting club, starts a vandal terrorism project and fucks the girl he met after healing his insomnia, without knowing it.
            Who is Tyler Durden?

            1. Pulp Fiction
This was brilliantly written, directed, produced, etc. I would say more but everyone has seen it and knows how brilliant it is.
