You know leaving them up isn't as bad as those who also turn them on year around and there's no parties going on :D

Entire tree, lights, decor, etc... came down on New Year's Day while watching the Rose Bowl. USC was blowing out Michigan, so why waste time, eh?

Considering I only got one strand of lights up one night when I was drunk, it was easy to take them down a few days ago. My daughter did it for me. :D

I'll wait till the tree dries out, and the heat from the lights starts a nice fire

I was taught not to take down decorations until after Jan. 7. Mom's side of the family is from all over Europe, and orthodox Christmas is celebrated then. Mom and Grandma are Roman Catholics, but Grandma has brothers and sisters who recognize this date, so we always observed it.

Too many lights outside to worry about taking them down during the freezing rain. Anyways, I have to have some to to dream about that warm beach on Tuesday.
