Man Suing Cable Company for TV Addiction

The Charter Cable Company is being sued by Timothy Dumouchel for $5,000 or 3 PCs and a lifetime of free Internet service because he claims Charter is responsible for his addiction to cable TV. He plans on making a small claims suit.
He says the cable company is responsible for making his wife gain 50 pounds, his own TV addiction and turning his children into "lazy channel surfers." He also says he drinks and smokes each day because of the habit.
He claims they had free cable service for four years. A police report states he tried to get it shut off in 1999. Charter says he harassed employees on 12-23 and threatened to send "in the ocean with the sharks" if a supervisor didn't speak to him.
