Where I lift at, the females are MUCH more serious about bodybuilding/figure/training than the dudes are.
Dont get me wrong, the dudes are freakin MASSIVE, but I can tell that the guys mostly go there as a social type of place.
I think that I would be more comfortable with a serious female training partner because:
#1: There would be no Alpha Male factor. Im a competative person, and I dont think it would be healthy for me to train with another dude. LOL sounds kinda lame, but I might become too distraught if they were progressing faster than I was.
#2: It would be platonic. Even though I am not in the "sex' mindframe at the gym, I still do get nervous around straight dudes. I dont wanna be training and be scared that i might do something that might give the wrong impression. Id rather not have to worry about that.
#3: Girls can give good criticism. Think about it. I can ask a girl if my ass looks fat, and she would tell me. HAHA!
