    ME!

for having just joined Costco this morning. i will go down on record as saying - that is one of the scariest places i have ever been.

i went in there b/c i ran out of eggs and meat and decided that i would be better off shopping for my food in bulk since it's so close to me anyway. and as i found out... the prices for groceries there ARE for sure cheaper.

but it is scary because the first 3 aisles of that place are packed full of candy, cookies, and junk food IN BULK. i don't know how many times i put that tub of twizzlers in my cart to only push it back to the original spot to put it down. or that big ass bag of nantucket cookies that i would be inhaling right now if i didn't get rid of it at the last minute.

now - i am the proud owner of 2 60oz containers of ketchup, canned chicken, and a lot of other stuff - that i didn't go in there for.

    kthxbye,
    me.

well, what am i supposed to do when they put all the produce and meats in the BACK like a mile away and all the cookies and candy right in front. i pushed my cart through every single candy aisle before i kicked myself in the ass to the back to get my groceries.

that tub of twizzlers made a total of 5 trips into and out of my cart. that big bag of nantucket cookies - 3.

      BUT - i didn't leave with them :D that's the important thing... isn't it??

And just think, you got to work your biceps at the same time! ;)

I go to Sam's Club here...4 lb bags of chicken tenders are cheaper than the 3 lb bags at the supermarket. Milk is also 50 cents a gallon cheaper there, so I buy 10 gallons at a time and stick them into the chest freezer. (Skim milk doesn't spoil as quickly once it's been frozen.) Bottled water by the case is also a lot cheaper there. Gotta love bundles of big cans of chicken. Their steaks and roasts are nice and again, a good deal.

Have fun in your new playground, Sana! And remember, no candy and cookies or else... :spank:

I love Costco, that place is the bomb for getting bulk foodstuffs... and alot of other stuff for cheap as well. Unfortunately, after moving to NC, the closest one to me is in Charlotte... an hour and a half away from me. When I was in Cali I shopped in the one that was 10 min. away.
