Angeles National Forest hike

The Angeles National Forest is amazing. It is literally 15 minutes from my home in Pasadena. I am not aware of another national forest in such close proximity to a major urban area. Even in Portland, I had to drive about 45 minutes to get to Mt. Hood National Forest.

Anyway, we went on this fantastic hike there. There was *nobody* there - we had the entire trail to ourselves for the whole hike.

Saw lots of wild creatures too... saw some bear scat but no bears.

did you feel the 7.1? my girls family didn't feel the first one but they got rocked by the 7.1.

We felt the earlier 6.4 quake. We didn't feel the 7.1 only because we were driving back home from a hike and literally were on the freeway when it struck. I couldn't tell at 70mph.
