I've read the reviews for months, I've seen how most everyone was saying it's "Scorsese's Best" etc..
I've been looking forward to this movie for a long time so I was pretty excited to watch it when it came out on netflix.
Well it's safe to say I've been underwhelmed so far. Nobody is talking about the age thing. Different time periods in the movie where they try to make really old guys seem younger. It fails in that regard. The guys look ancient with makeup and weird contacts etc... There is a fight scene early on where Deniro beats up a guy that touched his daughter. It's cringe as fuck, couldn't have been faker looking. Maybe 4k resolution isn't the best choice for this particular film. I realize i'm being picky but it really pulls you out of the film because it's there on display in every scene. When the reviews are pretty much 100% from almost everyone you expect perfection. Add to that, I wasn't blown away by the story telling. Very slow paced at 3 hours long. Could have trimmed it by 30 minutes IMO.
