  • Blood results - Haemoglobin

    Got my company health screen last week and resluts back tday;

    The ones that were out were;
    Haemoglobin was 17.6 (range 13.4-17.2)
    PCV 0.536 (range 0.38-0.52)
    Urea 9.3 (range 2.5-7.5)
    ALT 64 (range 0-50)
    HDLP 0.7 (Range 0.77-2.20)

    everything else was within range and my overall cholesterol was 3.8 (range up to 5.2) and the ratio overall/HDPLP was fine. I think I know whats suppressed my HDLP but its the other stuff that interests me like Haemoglobin, that was high, like 17 the last time. I had a quick chat with myn GP and she said it didn't sound a worry but we're gonna run the test again after I've had a week of drinking more water, as she thinks that might be the reason.

    has anyone else experienced this?

      This does indeed work. Good for you and could save someones life with the donation.

        Yeah - except most blood banks will just dispose of a "users" blood and send them a letter requesting that they don't come back with contaminated samples...
