So after multiple specialists, finally got mri results / tested my shit (lol) - turns out i have chrohn's disease. I dont know much about it , but I'm meeting with my doc tomorrow to talk about options. I do have ulcers and I guess they might have to do some type of surgery on my small intesten - don't really know all the details yet. Anyway, i'm trying to learn more about it and I was wondering if any of you guys have it / know someone close who has it. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Here's what I know and don't know. I don't know how or when they determine if IVIG drugs will be useful in a Chron's case. What I do know is if this is the treatment chosen for you, it's an extremely expensive drug. I can't tell you how much retail is, I only know what it roughly costs my work to buy from the manufacturer. I have heard bills can be around $3,000 a treatment (that depends on how many grams you need). I don't know how much of that is clinic/treatment center costs. I have heard people total costs (what's billed to insurance) ranging from 30k to close to 200k annually. So it takes some really good insurance with a typical high premium and then there are factors of your insurance having a annual and/or lifetime maximum. But of course how much is needed for a treatment is also case dependent.

i have ulcerative colitis - not too unlike chrons - i take 9 caps of colazal daily. Too complex to get into, but during a flare up ulcers and much bleeding involved. No known cure or cause. Some schools of thought say it can be controlled with diet, eg. certain foods may cause a flare up. Of course the gastroenterologists want you to take the medicine daily as a preventative measure. Diagnosed 7 or 8 yrs ago, had a couple of severe flare ups. Some people go many years w/out symptoms.... than it hits. Ive been told its a chronic (lifetime) disease. Doesnt effect me much. Damn - I do have good insurances thankfully. Yea - I have been in a real bad flare up myself - I've been puking 30+ times on the bad days, the pain is real sharp on the right side of my stomach kind wrapping around it. Not a fun time at all. Is the bleeding from the ulcers? Because I've had blood in my piss now for a couple months :/.

dunno what it sounds like bro - it happens when my pulse races - i get real hot and puke. I had my shit tested (literally lol) and an MRI showed the ulcers etc - I got chrohn's :/ , dunno about all the symptoms yet.

yeah - i get mad cold sweats and my bp goes nuts until i start puking, that goes on for a couple days and then I get the sharp pains and wicked fatigued. It's lame.

I get real bad liquid shits, it took awhile for me to even produce a sample for em lol. Then i start puking the next day, it's weird.

I think the stress of it all kicks it off, it's not like I have an anxiety attack - if I fight it off w/my mind I can stop it sometimes, but if i let it slip yea - it feels a lot like im just real strung out and once the puking starts it's hard to finish it.
