I have a cartilage defect in my knee making it very pain full to do impact movements such as running. Any suggestion on shoes that might help reduce impact?

Go to a running shoe store that has a machine that can analyze your strike pattern. Tell them your problem. I am sure they can find you something that helps, but I think it is unlikely you will find anything that will fix your problem. Running is inherently impactive and jarring. Have you thought about replacing running with something else, biking, swimming, stairmaster, etc.?

I just want something that might help. Ive replaced the running already for my physiques sake. But I'm also in the army and would like to be able to run with my soldiers again.Originally posted by Scrumhalf View PostGo to a running shoe store that has a machine that can analyze your strike pattern.
