    Brain Region Found to Control Aging

    For the first time, a brain region has been found that may control aging throughout the whole body, a new study reports.

    A signaling pathway in the brain region known as the hypothalamus could speed up or slow down aging in mice. If it applies in humans, the discovery could open up possibilities for slowing age-related diseases and increasing life span.

    Injectable nano-network controls blood sugar in diabetics for days at a time

    In a promising development for diabetes treatment, researchers have developed a network of nanoscale particles that can be injected into the body and release insulin when blood-sugar levels rise, maintaining normal blood sugar levels for more than a week in animal-based laboratory tests. The work was done by researchers at North Carolina State University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Children's Hospital Boston.

    I think thats a great idea and contribution scrum, your good at interpreting factual data and articulating into laymens terms.

    I'm personally very interested in health and medicine although I have significant misgivings about the pharmaceutical industry as a whole which I won't go into.

      Good idea scrum, look forward to it. I will post health news more relating to muscle building/fat burning type stuff in your roundup threads as I find them. :)
