          ^ don't understand bro?

low test is dangerous this has been proven.

Higher test causes some issues but these can be mitigated with supplements etc so that bloods achieve normal ranges.

Your 'average' US male in this study is:
            > overweight
            > sedentary
            > has a very poor diet
            > has been this way for a long time

Now, give him some test so he starts to remember what he felt like when he was in his 20's, and he starts taking this body he has abused for 30+ years and treating it like the undamaged, normal body he had in his 20's - and yes, he is twice as likely to have a heart attack as the guy in his position that is still stuffing his face on the couch developing diabetes.

This study is garbage - journalists shouldn't print shit like this - leave it to the AMA and other journals.

And fuck it anyway, I'd rather die from a heart attack than cancer any day.

How many bodybuilder related heart attacks are there??? Especially lately. Hell my dad is 70 and had another heart attack 3 months ago and the first thing the doc did was take him off test. You clowns are kidding yourselves.

Ok so I did us a favour and specifically asked Jerry Branium about his thoughts in the study.

For those who don't know Jerry is one of the if not the most pre eminent comentators on dietry, supplemental and pharmacologycal aspects concerning health and fitness and has been since the golden era, advising arnold, robby etc etc

                Jerry focused on the plos one study within the main article and gave the following opinion;

                Jerry Brainum

3 hours agoThis new study suggests that testosterone therapy increases the risk of heart attacks in younger men with pre-existing CVD, as well as men over age 65. There was NO increased risk in younger men without pre-existing CVD. Once again, this is being used to illustrate the "dangers" of TRT. However, there are several factors to consider before arriving at any premature conclusions based on these findings. For one, we don't know the physical condition of the older men. In a previous study that also found similar results, the older men in the study all had pre-existing CVD. In addition, there is no mention of whether the men were monitored for hematocrit level, which tends to rise with injectable use of T. This involves the viscosity or thickness of the blood as determined by the concentration of circulating red blood cells. Increased hematocrit over a certain level is associated with higher risk for CVD, especially strokes. Also, there is no mention of the men's estrogen levels. This was also a flaw in the previous study of older men on TRT. Testosterone can be converted to estrogen through the action of the enzyme, aromatase. Having higher levels of body fat increases aromatase activity, and many older men are fat. As such, they are already producing higher levels of estrogen. If you then give them testosterone, which will convert partially to estrogen, you increase risk of CVD, since higher levels of estrogen in men are linked to both increased internal blood clotting, as well as sudden death from heart attacks. As such, the only proper way to adminster TRT to an older man, or younger man with a pre-existing case of CVD, is to have them medically supervised, with a close watch on factors such as hematocrit, blood lipids, estrogen, pressure, and so on. It's also notable that numerous recent studies have showed protective effects of TRT against CVD through treating both the metabolic syndrome and pre-diabetes, both of which are huge risk factors for CVD onset.

Typical doc can't even give a straight answer. What about yes or no.

Dr redback will give you a straight answer.

Does the use of testosterone increase your risk of heart attack?
                  Answer: fuk yes

Do people who use testosterone believe there is no risk and they are superhuman?
Answer: yes they are all dipshits

we have gone over this about 10 times. I am firmly based in reality. i see things in black and white. the numbers and statistics are there, thus you are correct. high test levels increase your chances of heart attack. this cannot be disputed. anyone that does dispute it should be put to sleep and kicked vigorously.
