That's a tricky question and this is high science so the answer isn't as easy as it seems.

I did some research on that very question and it seems that having a dry and inflamed scalp which nizerol CAN give you if used to much can also speed up hair loss. I like to use it every other day now and I leave it in for a little longer then suggested. I find that my scalp isn't itchy or dry this way. Every day use was making it a bit to dry.

It's prob overkill bro. Sort of like taking ibuprofin every hour for a headache when it wont work any better then taking it every 4 hours. The goal is to keep the scalp clean and free of the shit that clogs up the folical BUT also to have a calm and relaxed scalp. Nizerol is a harsh drug that doesnt exactly "calm" anything.

American Crew - Fiber

You can use a very small amount semi-damp hair and apply it more to the tips of the hair. This keeps the product from sitting on the scalp all day. A little bit of this stuff goes a long way and isn't sticky or clumping in the hair at all.

I know you raw an Aveda man as well. Another decent product is Aveda - control paste. But I have to use a little bit more to get the same level of pliable hold
