I know 500 people that are. All from stupid injurys mostly fighters can't live without them now
It's heroine in a pill but just a small step from a street junky and a needle and I've seen great fighters go that way too.
I tell everyone I know don't take that shit after surgery or what ever deal with the pain your better off.

Trust me there's a few in here been threw this or still going threw it maybe they will speak how bad it is?

I think part of what I was saying was being misinterpreted a little. I understand once people are hooked, it's a whole different ball game. I really meant people need to take charge of their health WAY before that point. If you have achy this or that, lose weight, go out and get some exercise, etc. People want a pill to fix everything. And I don't mean just pain pills. But pain medication does have a place. You can't have a major surgery and expect to heal properly without treating your pain.

Trust me, I get that it's a problem. I just don't know the answer. :(

The human body was designed for walking. It's amazing how little walking we do in our modern lifestyles. And sitting in a chair is one of the worst things we can do to our spines. I see more and more of the offices in my workplace where the height of the desk is adjustable and you can spend at least part of the day working while standing. I think it is a great idea - standing is not as good as walking but better than sitting for 8 hours a day.

Funny I perfer to stand people always tell me to sit down. I don't like to sit I perfer standing.
I stand both feet solid and erect but I slouch when I sit

People need to start taking responsibility for themselves, period. Yes, pain pills are a problem, but the blame can't just be placed on doctors. In the medical world, pain is considered the fifth vital sign. Pain is also subjective. If you say you're in pain, there is NO way to know if that's a lie, or if you're truly hurting. So....you get medicated. People get in big trouble for being judgmental and withholding meds from patients because they don't believe them. I mean, of course there are obvious abusers, but there are also a TON of "normal" people addicted to pain meds because they have no desire to take charge of their health and find a better alternative. And that....will always boggle my mind.

Good posture goes a long way. People would be amazed by the relief from numerous aches, pains, and illnesses they could get by simply making a conscious effort to sit straight and stand erect.

part of my problem. i constantly have super tight muscles in upper back and traps. shit can get so tight i cant sleep and ruins my fucken day.

While I agree the fact is it's not going to happen. So we have to look at it differently because the issue will only get bigger and bigger until breaking point. We have to come up with a different system/solution to the problem because the current system is clearly an issue.

Exactly. The problem goes for so long without any effort to remedy it that when they actually do make any attempt to better their situation they are so far gone that they get severe pains even walking or doing any excercize. Usually in areas where they have had surgeries like back and knees.

In those cases they get discouraged quickly. I realize that some of their "pains" are normal shit we all experience and love to feel during excercize but some are legit pains.

It's a fundamental flaw in the way a modern society works. Our bodies aren't meant to be hunched over computers, sitting in cars and desks and all day munching down processed shit.

Then they wonder why their back and knees hurt. Walking for an hour a day and dropping weight would fix a lot of their problems.
