I read the article/ Study in this forum that Bouncer posted regarding the positive effects of krill oil on ones cholesterol profile. I have had issues with my hdl and triglycerides. For example, ones hdl should be >40 and mine was 23. Your total cholesterol vs hdl ratio should be <4.0, mine was 5.3. These are very strong indicators that, if left untreated, can lead to a significant cardiac event. I did not want to go on statins until I had exhausted some natural options. I began taking 3G of krill oil and 1500mg niacin daily. I had my bloodwork done again after 60 days and the results were mind blowing. My hdl was now at 48, my triglycerides were 47, and my total cholesterol vs hdl ration was now 2.8!!! Not only that, but I no longer feel as sluggish. No my diet isn't perfect by any means. It's not terrible but I do eat pretty much whatever I want. Bottom line, thanks to Bouncer for posting that study on krill oil and if there's anyone else struggling with their lipid profile then trust me this combo works wonders.

Yes of course...Solgar was the brand. Do not get non flush niacin. The acid that creates the flush is the ingredient that improves the lipids profile alongside the krill. If you get non flush it has zero effect on cholesterol. I've proved this theory to be correct also through bloodwork.Originally posted by Mr I View PostThat's fantastic - can you tell us what brand of niacin you used?

that is good stuff bro. However one thing can't be forgotten, you said yourself, your diet is not all that. i bet if you were to post literally what you eat ED, many of us here could tweak it for you and within 60 days with proper cardio and good eating habits, your numbers would be the same if not better.Originally posted by AllDay View PostI read the article/ Study in this forum that Bouncer posted regarding the positive effects of krill oil on ones cholesterol profile. while taking supps to help with issues, one thing is certain; it's a band-aid, masking the issue.
i of all members on here have to watch my food because HDL/LDL issues run in my family.
when i have issues with my profile(it's been a few years), i just increase cardio and intake more oats.

my question would be what the results would have been on krill/fish oil alone vs the combo krill and nicin.Originally posted by AllDay View PostI read the article/ Study in this forum that Bouncer posted regarding the positive effects of krill oil on ones cholesterol profile. Particularly when on, it shifts your cholesterol profile for most people. I used nsicin myself while my stack contained oral aas. I made a thread about it way back. Blm also used.
It worked but what I noticed is that when I took aas out, fish oil alone used only eraticly and reasonable diet was enough to get my cholesterol profile back to normal range while still on inj aas

I can't remember the last time I replied to you and i sit here reluctantly doing so, but whatever.
anyone that is ON and doesn't know their lipids would be affected, is being naive, period.
i never said those supps don't work, they do....HOWEVER, it's a temp fix.
having a clean diet and great cardio, well nothing substitutes for THAT, nothing. supps, pills, meds, etc...ALL of those things are a temp fix. if it is hereditary(HDL/LDL issues), it will comeback, just facts.
so not sure(and I could care less)what your "no" is all about. i speak from 10 plus years of experience on getting labs done, that shit don't lie. i don't care what you or johnny or nancy says, the paper is my proof.
good cardio, good diet=great lipid profiles
HOWEVER/\ if this is not the case, then HDL/LDL issues can and will be hereditary causing elevated numbers.
done with post.

if it's obvious, then why not do it:retard:am i the only one here thinking to do the obvious but NOT a temp fix?Originally posted by Bouncer View Postrado the point of the thread is something specific. saying "a better diet would help" is obvious and not very useful.
i get the supps, we all do them. but issues that come up like this, especially heart related issues, come on man...i just don't rock that boat sorry...but whatever...glad it worked for him, im simply letting the person know that it can also be brought down with diet and training....facts are facts.

yes bro, 2+2=4. we all understand. pointing it out especially in a specific thread where someone got a result regardless of diet is simply irrelevant.Originally posted by rado View Postif it's obvious, then why not do it:retard:am i the only one here thinking to do the obvious but NOT a temp fix?

it's actually very interesting that he got such great results without a perfect diet.
if his post had been "my diet has been perfect and I've improved my cholesterol, we'd all say "well no shit" and that would be the end of the thread. this thread is interesting because of the results he got without a perfect diet.

If my 60+ year old dad whats to keep his cholesterol in check without getting on statins (which are horrible in my opinion) adding those supplements in is fine. Not gonna tell him quit being lazy and pound the cardio and eat baked fish for every meal....lol
Just like taking a vitamin. Should we tell people to stop taking a vitamin and just get their vitamins through food?
You guys wouldnt believe how bad my cholesterol was 3 months ago! I was running Tren Ace and M-Tren! NEVER AGAIN! I wish I had seen this thread back then....lol
