Hi, I'm almost 37 years old in 5 month. I took aas from age 21-25. My last cycle was test e 500mg wk for 9 month solid. I couldn't recover though my pct was nolvadex only.

I started drinking alcohol heavily after the cycle and was also on ssri's from age 22. I was also a cannabis user until i stopped in 2010.

My testosterone is low and e2 plus shbg is high.

    Testosterone - 9.4 - 9.9 - 30.0
    E2 - 181 - 44 - 156
    shbg - 52 - 12 - 49

I have a beer belly and am quite a slim guy. I weigh 170 Ibs and most of the weight is on my stomach. My natural weight before aas use was 140Ibs.

Do you think if i stop drinking booze, lose weight, start exercising and sort my diet out and take low dose nolva and clomid for a few months, I could get my natural test back up?

I have chronic ed, depression, anxiety etc...

I've hearc that a beer gut could be caused by low t and that exercising won't get rid of it. I'm sure how true that is?

So hold on a second. When you say you couldn't recover after pct, what do you mean?

Low T in yor upper 30's is very possible. I have a friend who never took anything and is 35 who also has Low T. His Doc told him he had the levels of a 50 year old.

I just did standard nolvadex 40mg for 3-4 weeks. I tried this twice but my symptoms never improved. I then got my testosterone tested a few weeks after nolvadex and it was low.

I don't want to go on trt for life so hopefully my levels will improve once I sort my lifestyle out but if not then self medicated try because I'm in UK and the Drs over here are alwful and getting try prescribed is very difficult.

So you waited 10+ years to fix this low T issue? So after you were diagnosed with low T, the doctors did nothing?

Ok bro, you asked before if getting rid of the beer gut can improve your low T issue. Don't know if It could but it certainly wouldn't hurt. Would definitely improve your lifestyle. Lay off the beer, start excersising and eating right and go from there.

As far as hoping on Clomid, Nolvadex, hcg now to improve your Low T issues, I can't help you there. Maybe a more experienced member can chime in bUT I think those drugs are used more for a kick start of your natural production.

"It’s probably no surprise that excess alcohol or drug use, whether it’s medical or recreational, can also decrease testosterone levels"

You should also think about your gut health. Eat foods that contain probiotics and/or prebiotics. I bet that will make you feel a bit better.

If you have a beer gut, that is the worst kind of fat accumulation. Fat under your stomach muscles, around your organs, is linked to insulin resistance, lipid dislrders, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, cancers, low testosterone and high estrogen.

Pretty much what AVid said. Bottom line is, if you look like shit, your going to feel like shit. Unless of course your battling some disease like cancer and you can't help it.

Samsung's situation can be fixed if he chooses to fix it.

Here is my experience with AAS induced low T for what I assume about the same 10 years. My Endo put me on clomid @25mg a day for 3 months. It brought my total T from the low 200 range to mid/high 600 range but the clomid had my sexual function reduced to practically zero when it wasn't much there to begin with. I cut back to 25mg every other day and it dropped to mid 500 range and feeling good with normal sexual function. Doc has me going another 6 months then taper off to see if it holds.

Clomid only. Nolvadex binds to estrogen receptors primarily in the breast whereas clomid binds to the estrogen receptor primarily in the pituitary and hypothalamus. This is why you want clomid to recover.

Also definitely clean up the diet and exercise and drop the booze.

hard to answer. obviously dropping the alcohol, getting yourself in the gym and eating better will make you look better and thus improve your sense of well being etc..

if you have legitimate low t and changing your lifestyle doesn't help then you can always go on testosterone replacement therapy.

first things first. change your lifestyle. that will make a huge difference. if you feel your test levels are still low then get the issue fixed.

Thanks guys. Yep, 10 years or just slightly over. Drs no help what so ever. I know a type 2 diabetic with low t but they wouldn't help him, just told him to get active and eat better.

We have a free health system in uk unless you go private. It's absolutely terrible.

I'm going to sort my lifestyle issues out and try a hcg, nolva, clomid protocol and get regular bloodwork. If it doesn't fix my issues then only one option left and thats self medicating my own trt.

So, I would have to wait 3-4 months for an inpatient medicated detox to get me off the alcohol, so I have diazepam and will be starting them tomorrow for a week.

I'm going to join the gym and go on a paleo diet to lose weight and take orange triad with extra vitamin d, zinc, magnesium and vitamin c. I'm going to aim for 2Ibs weight loss a week. Then once I'm sleeping 7-8 hours a night I'm going to try the 25mg eod clomid for 3 months same as what chuckz28 is doing. If i don't feel better I'm going to drop the dose to 12.5mg eod for 3 months.

I'll get bloodwork 6 and 12 week after the clomid. If test is still low then trt.
I'll keep this thread updated with regular bloodwork.
