I'm doing my shows next year for BB. After that, I plan to move into fitness..IF my body can take it!

redsquirell: Have you everplanned on doing a "figure"...I can barely touch my toes so fitness is a nono for me, but with your shape, and the enhancements you are getting ready to make you could get into that too pretty easy. For me I don't think that My "figure" would be complete without implants, seems like everyone has them on that side of the gym.....but figure competitions is what I would like to do either end of next year or maybe even the beginning of 2005. Right now I am happy carrying the muscle.

Figure is probably wayyyy down the road...I'm sorry if I offend anyone by saying this...TRULY I MEAN IT....But, I think most figure competitions are just glorified beauty pageants/bikini contests.... I like fitness due to the fact there is some skill involved (the routine). And, not that figure is easy, but it doesn't seem like it reaps the same rewards as fitness or BBing..

Now, talk to me next year after I've sprained a few ankles, etc, and see what my position is then! LOL AS far as your flexiblity goes, I can't do the splits...but the owner of my gym just got her pro card for fitness at the USA's this year, she said there are several tricks you can do to "hide those things you can't do" She gave me a whole packet of info on how to perfect them for those who have never done them.

                          Redsquirrell:

I agree about the glorified beauty pagents... my worry is that I am nor going to fit into any of the catergories. Fitness seems like x-cheerleader type things, figure is the bikini boob contest, and bodybuilding has such a stigma. Don't get me wrong I know everyone works EXTREMELY hard for each of one of those, my personal dilemma is I am a Heavyweight, never anything else. I really would lose shape to drop down into the 130's for bodybuilding, so I have to hit a reality check somewhere about how far I can advance NATURAL in bodybuilding and also what a long term fitness goal would be for me. I lateley feel pretty "Stuck". Figure would be my next outlet, but again, there is alot of ambiguity on what judges are looking for and criteria for shows and different federations. Good Luck in your upcoming contests, I plan on doing a few this year, and then it may be BABY TIME!!!!!

Inkman: My back work out is killer.. i do it to near exhaustion once a week. My secret to it all is pull ups of every kind. I do 3 sets of 10 pull ups a day no matter what body part I am working on. Over hand pull ups, chin ups, close grip, and alternating sides with a V Bar, and on back day weighted pullups with a 25lb plate dangling.

                            Back Day looks like this:
1 set 10 pull ups WARM UP
Lat pull downs: 10- 100 lbs (straight bar behind neck)
10- 120 lbs (straight bar front)
                            8-10- 140 lbs (V bar)

Seated Rows: 10- 90lbs (V BAr loww to belly button)
                            10-100 lbs (vbar to chest)
8-10 100 lbs (straight bar to mid abdomen)

One Armed Rows: 10 -45 lb dumbbell
                            10- 55lb dumbbell
                            8-10-65lb dumbell

Set of close grip pullups or Vbar alternating side to side

Cable pulls: High pully cable, one in each hand, kneel on ground and squeeze elbows together.
                            3 sets of 10 80-90-100 lbs

bent over row machine (boob crusher) 10 - 45 plate
                            10- 45 +25 plate
                            6-8-2 45lbs +25 plate

Then I do another final set of pullups, weighted or just regular, for a set of 10. If I can move.
