  • Peanut Butter Whilst Cutting?

I am currently cutting but was wondering if natrual PB would be OK once a week?

PB Junkie here! If I can keep from sticking the spoon back in the jar 458,956,456 more times, I do well with it ;)

Actually was on a pretty low cal cutting diet last year and had 1-2 Tbsp. per day to keep cals up to a level I felt more comfortable with. 7 weeks, dropped from 19 to 12%.

You're worried about having pb ONCE a week? Do you eat the entire jar at this one sitting? Don't sweat it. In fact, I think you can eat it daily, even while on a cutting diet. The only thing you need to watch is that it's calorically dense (and it tastes so good, it's hard to stop eating) so don't over-eat so it puts you over your calorie limit.

Believer is right, just watch the calories, and the portions you have, but natty pb is a good fat for you to be getting in your diet.

For competitive reasons, go with low-sodium natural peanut butter.. The fats in there are good to fight off cravings as well.. I usually have natural peanut butter while cutting, adds to the flax/olive oil/ EPO I supplement with..

OK Thanks guys, I was aware the fats are good fats in PB, I just wasnt sure if the high cals were advisable on a cutting diet (as, obviously your calories are limited)
