  • Carb Cycling Whilst Cutting

    I've read quite bit about carb cycling whilst cutting for maximum fat loss but how exactly am I supposed to apply it to my diet.

    Currently I am on a 2200 cal diet with a 60/20/20 split
    (1,320 cals Prot/ 440 cals Carb/ 440 cals Fat)

    I'm 5' 8, 185lbs, no idea on BF%

    Any idea's on how to cycle my carbs and how to do this?

    carb cycling is when you eat low carbs all week then take 1-2 days of a carb up. This helps keep some muscle while dieting.

      There are various forms of 'carb cycling' it could be twice weekly carb up meals in the evening, a carb binge day or set allotment of hours for a specific day while staying in ketosis the rest of the week, etc. as well as a low, moderate, high carb cycle rotating every 3 or more days.

      I prefer under 50-60 grams of carbs except for two evenings per week where I typically consume 200 g's carbs before bed. But I'm just a little chick, you might need more carbs overall based on your height and weight.

      I also despise counting cals and prefer to think in grams.

        yeh, they pretty much nailed it. but more specifically, do something like
        3 days low carb
        1 day high carb
        repeat
        i read that this method does increase body fat dropped.
