During a workout I normally only drink water, but I know some people who drink things like gatorade and other "fitness" drinks (yea, I'll call 'em that). Anyway what should/can I drink during a workout? Is water the best thing? Also, before a workout do you drink anything like those amp, or whatever it is called, to give you "energy"(like those energy drinks you can buy at the supermarket)? Or is that something you would recommend against in if you are on creatine and such...

Right before I go to the gym i'll have a shake. Then while i'm working out i'll only drink water.

as long as you drink plenty of water 1-2 hours before you workout you'll be fine. i prefer to sip on water during workouts when i get thirsty. gatorade would be good after you're done.

I would only drink water, if your doing cardio the gatoraide defeats the purpose cause your just replenishing the calories you just burnt off

Thanks guys. What about those "energy" drinks? Should I stay away or drink one before a workout?
