  • Back to back shows and water depletion

Wondering what advice any of you might have for water cutting with two competitions only one week apart. Not sure how to best approach this and interested to get some feedback.
Although my primary focus is to come in my best condiditon for the later show I am concerned that without depleting properly for the first I may not come in tight enough to place, and if I deplete for the first I may rebound for the second. Thoughts?

It is possible to properly deplete for both. Will you be doing this naturally, or with diuretics? Either way, what will need to happen is this: instead of allowing your body to hold all of the water you drink the day after the show, you are going to have to immediately start flushing it out again; just as you did the days leading up to water depletion.(sodium, potassium manipulation) Meaning, you need to drink a gallon of water the night after your show. On Sunday, you need to try and get 2-3 gallons down, and thereafter until Wednesday. Thursday I would drop it to 1.5 gal- 2 gal, depending upon how well and how soon your body decides to let go of it. I assume you plan to cut your water on Friday? The only risk you run even if you do your water right is looking flat for prejudging. Keep that in mind. If you're not doing BBing, then making weight is not an issue for you; which has a higher chance of making you flat.
