my first post never submitted right. Ok basically here it goes. I dont have a job so the car I have is not insured (FUCKN Apps i hate em they never call me back Its so hard to get a job here) so my parents have to take me to and from the gym. After a work out I do 25 mins of cardio and my parents are usually in the parking lot waiting or something. I have in the car a chicken breast and a whey shake. Or if no chicken breast ill double up the scoops. I usually have 1 but if theres nothing else to have with it ill have 2 scoops. Then later dinner at home. But what im meaning is after work out is it ok to still take in protein about 30-40 mins MAX post work??? I dont have the money to spend like 3 bucks on a shake or a bar or something or a wrap / juice so right now this is all i can do or is it ? Options advice and answers if you guys will thx.

Right around 25g protein should be sufficient for you immediately after your workout. You should work in some good simple carbs such as Maltodextrin or dextrose. This will refill your muscle glycogen that just depleted and serve as an "accelerant" if you will, for the protein to your muscles. After that, you should be good for up to 1 hour before eating something else. Hope this helps and good luck finding a job!

Yeah I usually shoot for 40-50g....I also take in about 30g preworkout as well...always whey isloate around workout time...but I hear a mix of hydrolyzed and isolate is the best post workout.
I also use about 75g of a 50/50 dextrose/maltodextrin carbohydrate mix...

I slam down a handful of aminos, some glutamine, wait 20 minutes and take in 50 grams of whey, and eat another whole food meal in 45 minutes... 8- 10 oz of lean protein source and either 50 grams of brown rice or yams. I also add creatine to my post shake as well. Just my 2 cents
