  • Tuna Fish 6x a day?

I'm on a tight budget and dont have a lot of time for anything fancy. I weigh about 150 lbs and was wondering if 2 TF Sandwiches 6x's a day is good enough to be called a good diet. I eat mayo and sweet relish mixed in the tuna fish. I drink a lot of water and milk... I also take an animal pack everyday,

    Thanks,
    BigC

That is way too much tuna. You need to incorporate some red meat and chicken in there. It's not too expensive.

Ehh, nope. Try searching thru some of the nutrition forums here or go to your library and check out some FREE books on nutrition and diet guidelines. Most have an entire fitness section and books directly for bodybuilders. Your tuna sammich diet is not gonna cut it.

Yeah I would suggest not to over do the tuna like that, too much of anything is never good for you... plus tuna has a high amount of mercury in it...and 6 times a day is just a bit much

Actually I've done this for three days this week just to see if I would "feel it..." I ended up drinking a couple protien shakes (by themselfs, first and last meal) and/or slim fast shakes along with a couple of the sandwiches (I know it's not the best but high cals/protein, taste better then the tuna). This was more of an idea i had I thought I would throw out there. It sounded like it could work and wanted to see if anyone else had done it. I'm not a newb (maybe to this board) that does not know anything, I was just hesitant to ask this question on my board, and this one seems to reply quicker.

I forgot about the mercury! Thanks for posting that.

im eating 4 cans a day right now, along with my 3 eggs and a shake for breakfest. Chicken breast around noon, or chicken burgers. Im taking fish oils at the moment too. Hey bro, try eating 3 cans of it and try to add some meat, chicken, and some eggs in the diet. WHat u want is to add bulk so therefore u can look bigger and then lean out.

So you're already trying 2 sandwiches 6 times a day. That's twelve total for 24 pieces of bread a day? If you keep eating a loaf of bread everyday you'll be big but not the way you want.

if your dieting cut the sweet relish. Best way to diet is to lower your carbs. Anything sweet will have carbs in it one way or another. Just rule of thumb. Mayo is definitly not a good choice on a diet to loose. It has high sat fat and fat cals... stick with dry tuna on low carb bread. If you need to moisten your tuna get soffrito. It can be found in the goya section of your supermarket. It has 5 cals 45 sodium 1 carb a table spoon. Its a type of sauce for rice and beans but it is very tasty and will do the trick to spice up any tuna dish substituting the mayo. If you need mayo get low fat atleast. tuna 6 times a day is too much. There are alot of other choices out there salads that you can buy pre mixed just add a sliced tomato and some vinegar but no oil. You do need to see the recipe section or I can give you some tips if you need. My instant msg screen name is juka865. Ive lost over 100 prounds and have alot of advice to give out. Milk is great for loosing weight. I recently been drinkin it again into my diet and have seen more of a weight loss.

I'm not really on any diet, I was just curiouse what people thought of the tuna diet. I am trying to maintain (slow bulk maybe). Yeah, it's a loaf a day. It really is not that much if you think about it. Only 1980 cals or something like that. More in the tuna fish. Sure there are not carbs but that's what I want anyway. Tuna has always been part of my diet, usually 2-3 cans a day. I eat the tuna in vegitable oil because of texture and taste. This would be a bulking diet, however, It's easy as hell and quit to fix. I'm not sticking with it, I got sick of tuna the first day I tried it. I did not feel all that great after the second day so I figured it wasnt too good. I was asking opinions. It's nice to see everyone reply.

Congrats Juka, that's amazing. 100 lbs is a much. Not being a dick but do you have a lot of stretch marks? If so how are you dealing with them? I have a lot of them and was considering surgery but don't know anyone who has looked into it.

Thanks again, it's nice to get a lot of feedback like this.

look up my post on it in the self care section... Will give you some information you need to know. They basically are there for good. As of surgery dont know if they have surgery for removing them and if so the amount i have it would be costly. They have improved though as the weight comes off... Ive put some on my arms from lifting which sucks balls but what yah gonna do. Im not an ugly guy so i dont think it concerns me too much and you shouldnt let it get to you. But if you feel the need for surgery... info me back i havent looked into it.

I barely have any loose skin now that ive been drinking milk with my diet... I lost more weight when i started drinking milk too dont know why that is.. it just is. Well lates
