thanks again for the info, i appreciate it.

i wanted to make one thing clear after reading everything.. the two hours per gym session is because we have a team of 4 and we lift together, so it usually takes that long to get everyone through the workout... with all the horsing around involved. The marine corps pays me to workout all day long, thats my job, so i can't complain.... i'm not that gym obsessed :)

Bouncer - I did abs for about 15-20 mins this morning. but got a great burn.

my cardio is going down to 30 minutes- 45 at the most. i'm tweaking other things here and there... taking in all your advice.

Even still, working out 2 major body parts everyday you workout is still too much. In all honesty, this is the time you need to be by yourself. You need to be getting the most out of your workouts, and working out with 3 other people, you lose intensity. There really shoudnt' be any horsing around when it comes to working out at this crucial time. I understand you get paid to do it, and it doesn't matter, but you need to focus on yourself.

Abs only need to be worked a maximum of 3 times a week. When I do them, I do 6-8 sets of 20, and that's it.

As for your cardio, you may want to think about breaking up your sessions, or doing sprints. Like 20 am, 15 mid day, and 30 pm. This, in addition to working out will keep you metabolism going throughout the day.
