Nuts are not a complete protein thus they dont contain the right amino acids to build muscle. Whole wheat products also do not contain the right amino acids. Meat, Poultry, Eggs, and protein powder are the staples. Stop trying to think of ways you can get away from eating those things. I know how you think..

This is something i always wanted to know. I know which foods are compete and whic are not, so thats why i stick to the meats, eggs, shakes, tuna, and chickens, etc.Originally posted by THE BOUNCER

But bouncer since u say nuts, wheat products arent complete and do not contain the right amino acids but they do contain good amounts of protein. Could one take amino acid (supplements) pills or caps with these foods to make them compete.
I just ask this since im learning more and more as the days go by, this helps out.:D

instead of taking a supplement, it's prob. better to eat complimentary foods that complete the proteins of both foods during a meal imo Bouncer can prob. help me elaborate on this...but basically certain foods are incomplete but by combining certain foods you complete the chain. I think pasta with meat sauce and then adding parmesan cheese is an example but I could be way the hell off...Last edited by UCHusky8; 09-14-04, 01:19 AM.

the reason i asked this question was because some of us at time eat the good foods but there are those days, some could be short in money and or are missing a meal but dont wanna miss it. So theres some wheat pasta in the house, u make some with meat sauce and cheese like Husky said. Since u say its not a highly digestible Protein, but would it be better to have some protein in the body and not have anything at all.
For instance yesterday, i ate my 4 cans of tuna, my eggs and shake in the morning. But around 12, I usually eat a chicken breast with rice but there wasnt any nor meat. So the only option I had was wheat pasta with meat sauce. I ate that in order to avoid skipping my 3rd meal of the day. I know the protein wasnt complete in the meal but i had something in me. Cause u know those days when u think u got food in the house and theres nothing:(. I will order some amino acids just in case for these days happen again:)
Hey Bouncer is there anything we can take to help digest the foods better, for instance like the foods mentioned above. Or it wouldnt be the same take something to digest it.

nah it really isnt bro. I eat the first can around 9am with water and fish oil pill. I eat the tuna in the afternoon hours around 2:15pm with some 5 patato chips and hot sauce. I eat the 3rd can alone with water and fish oil pill. And the last one, i take it about 1-2 hours before going to bed.
If u eat it alone its nothing bro, when i eat that after an hour im hungry as hell.. Hey try it bro, u get used to it and good results.:D
