Jealous, puddles, come on. You can eat whatever you want, just modify your work outs to accomodate. Are you really only eating about 1500 cal/day? That is crazy low. If you want some friendly advice on nutrition, send me a message my aim name is docjatttu. In the mean time, don't step out into a windy day, you might blow away. Jk

      Bumping this thread for Redmachick.

Barbender, I'm 5'3" and 38 y.o., 150 lbs, 14% bf, and I've got a slow ass metabolism. At 1500 I grow, to maintain or lower bf I have to go lower. My diet is about 60% protein, 20% fat, 20% carbs. I normally lift 5 days a week and cardio a few days a week. This works for me. :)

I tried to make a few protien pancakes the other morning and my non stick pan was having issues, I couldnt get it to work right, so I improvised and poured some mix into a baking pan and stuck it in the oven at like 350 or so and let it bake, the pancake turned out like a cake or something, tasted remarkable, so soft and fluffy.... from now on I bake my pancakes it only takes like 8-10 minutes.

I take chocolate protein powder, 1 banana, natural peanut butter, oats, non fat milk, and ice and blend it all together.
          It rocks

6 ounces of steak, 1 cup of cooked oatmeal add some splenda for sweetness, and 3 eggs whole, and a glass of water. You can throw in some A1 if you like and are not concerned about sodium
            Simple but it works

            PD

I like The mixing two packs of maple/brown sugar cream of wheat with 1 cup of cooked eggwhites. Just like "big Ronnie", yeah buddy.

I think he used grits though, and some cheese fo' flava.

Puddles-I have the same problem-My 40+ year-old body just wants to hang on to every fat molecule(usually in my ass).If I want to cut,I have to keep my caloric intake around 1600 or less.
(and this is with a lean body mass of 145 ).
That's a good idea about cooking a lot of those pancakes in advance-they are good for filling you up!

For the people who like protein pancakes, try adding some almond extract to the mix, yummmmmm!

Crack open about 6 eggs into a cup, beat em up real good. Add tablespoon of splenda, stir, drink, enjoy. How I love taking eggs. I can't do them any other way now.

I tried making protein pancakes this weekend using the recipes that Sana and Puddles had previously posted.

2 scoops protein, 3 eggwhites, 3/4 cup oats, cinnamon, vanilla and water. Cooked in a pan sprayed with PAM.

I also added some slivered almonds and a tiny bit of flax seed. They turned out great! Super tasty and a great breakfast alternative.

Another thing I tried - using the same protein pancake ingredients but I baked them like cookies, 10 minutes at 350. Super good - maybe a little too good since I ate more than a couple. :P

                              4 Eggs (3w/o yoke)
                              three pieces of turkey bacon
1 cup of oatmeal with 1 oz. raisins, half gala apple and cinnamon (favorite)
                              1 cup skim milk

Have eaten this same meal for breakfast for over a year and still love it like I just started eatin' it!!
