  • Stomach hurts during/after workout

About 20 minutes into my workouts my stomach starts to ache, not really a pain, it just feels like I could throw up. The aching last probably 90 minutes after my workout. It makes it very difficult to eat something within 60 minutes of my workout. I know I need more calories after my workout, I start getting jittery, and feel like my blood sugar is low if I don't eat something.

Is there any way to avoid this?

I'm taking creatine, 5g before and after each workout. To test your theory I will drink a shake before I lay down for bed, I'll put 10g of creatine in it. Thanks for the idea.

Yeah, turns out it was the creatine. I lowered the amount to 3g before and 3g after each workout and it's much more tolerable. Now I have no problem being able to eat afterwards. Thanks guys.

              Stomach Acids

The reason your stomach hurts when you excercise vigorously is because all the blood leaves your stomach to go to the muscles you are using, example your legs when running or biking) leaving only stomach acids etc. to irritate the lining of your stomach. Usually if you eat a very small piece of food, to help some blood stay in your stomach to help aid in digestion it seems to work. For me it is a piece of bread, sometimes a little peanut butter.
              Hope that helps!
