    I have never seen any posts regarding Pinto's benefits. I know they're considered the "poor man's meat", because they are a complete protein, as is soy beans, albeit vegetable protein. I just wondered what everyone elses take was on them. here is a very interesting link with some facts about them in case you're interested.

    I eat them all the time, particularly in chili. I use pinto beans with elk meat or lean ground beef for a high protein, high fiber meal. I would think they would be a great cutting food cause they are high protein and low in "net impact" carbs.

      My thoughts too. The beauty of them is, you can prepare a pot full and re-heat and eat almost anytime. A good pot full would last several days. BB

        Actually, the complete proteins are meat, fish, poultry, cheese and eggs. Gelatin is the only animal protein not considered a complete protein.

        Incomplete proteins are missing one or more of the essential amino acids. Various incomplete proteins can be combined to create a complete protein source.
