Hey guys, I want to throw some vegetables into my diet and I was wondering which would be the best? Is something like steamed broccoli a good idea or is steaming vegies bad? Also how many times a day do you think I should eat vegies?

veggies are great and unfortunately one of the most over-looked aspects of a some bodybuilder's diets. go for veggies like turnip greens, collard greens, spinach, asparagus, broccoli, green beans, anything low carb (personally i avoid corn, lima beans, etc.). steaming or boiling them is fine in my opinion.

Vegetables are a really important facet of one's diet, for health in general. I don't think anyone should worry about consuming too much vegetables as long as they are not potatoes or high-carb types.
I think steaming or raw is better than boiling unless you are going to consume the liquid it boils in as well, like in some kind of stew or soup.

I don't think you can eat too much broccoli unless you drown it in butter or something. Very filling and good for you too. I had been watching carbs and fat too much and was very lethargic and didn't have much stamina when lifting. I added 2 cups of pinto beans at dinner, and 2 cups with my tuna and salad for lunch. I couldn't believe the difference in my next workout. Pintos are a great source of fiber and complex carbs. BB
