  • Calorie Counting

I used YJ's formula to calculate my BMR and I came up with 3,630

Is there a good website that tells how many calories are in common foods... ie .. chicken breasts, hamburger, things of that sort. I know that some packages of food say what each serving is. What is the most accurate way to know how much you are actually eating? Do you have to literally weigh all of the food you consume?

I do literally weigh and measure most of the food I consume--it's just part of what I do to make sure I accomplish my goals. You kinda get an idea after 15000 chicken breasts what 6oz looks like or after 3tons of beans what 1cup of green beans looks like. Just measure for awhile and you get an idea of what everything means. There is a website that has many common foods and even allows you to put in foods you may eat and their nutritional profile and then if you input what you eat, it reports your caloric consumption. I'll look for it and get back to you.

I think this is the one I remember looking into.
