    ok, i gutta get this straight, i have been doin alot of research on gaining mass. ive read that the body can only use 1gram per pound of body weight, so i weight about 165 if i follow this program im only supose to eat 165grams of protien a day. now i have also read that you are supose to consume 2grams a day i just wanna know whats best for me to gain mass, and whats worth listening i dont wanna be wasting food by and i dont wanna get super fat. can any one help me?

    If I were you I'd stick with the 1 g per pound of bw. I've heard all kinds of stuff about much some people consume 1.5, 1.8, 2 or even 3 grams by some pros. Who knows if their really benefitting from all that protein consumption. I dont know that 3g will benefit any more than 1g, just like you said the body can only process so much.
    1 gram of protein is a good solid safe rule of thumb. It's OK if you go a little over, maybe 165-200.

        i just eat aorund 30-50 grams of protein per day, with eating 6-8 meals a day. I take 3 shakes a day now. Im probably getting 250-300 grams everyday. I weigh 220.

        Just eat the right foods bro and ur all set and done. Avoid the bad fats, take some good fats in like nuts, fish and flax oil, etc. Avoid all sugars, candies, ice cream, stuff like that.
