If I am eating really strict to get lean, I don't eat fruit because the fructose is not the kind of sugar that your muscles use. However, I do think fruit is good for you so I do eat it occasionally most of the year. It probably wouldn't matter a ton when you eat it then, except that you shouldn't eat it right before bed obviously. Yes, it is better to eat whole fruit than to drink juice because the fiber in the fruit slows the absorption of the fructose (effectively lowers the GI of the fruit).

I was wondering about your meals in terms of a pre-workout meal cause I didn't see one! I think it's very important to eat pre-workout to have sufficient energy for the workout but more importantly for there to be protein to feed the muscles so that you are not in a catabolic state. That would be over 4hours w/o a meal if you don't eat pre-workout, and you really shouldn't ever go more than 3hours w/o eating. Pre-workout meals should be a lean source of protein and some low GI carbs to give a long-lasting source of energy during the workout. Your carbs could be brown rice, sweet potatoes, rolled oats or maybe even occasionally an apple. The protein can be any normal lean protein source.
For post-workout, you want to consume a fast absorbing protein like whey protein, probably some BCAA's, and some simple and complex carbs. I often just do a whey protein shake with dextrose (from NOW foods) and maltodextrin. If I'm in a mood for solid foods, I sometimes do oatmeal with honey or the dextrose for the carbs. You can find more info on post-workout foods by searching on this site-there's been a ton posted on this.

What about a pita bread wrap with lean chicken breast inside for a Pre workout meal. I am still working out my post workout meal, just having a protein shakje at the moment. but my diet is getting better thanks for your help. Will be in touch with my finished diet soon,

      Stay tuned.

If it's whole wheat bread that would probably be alright. Start getting some simple carbs in PWO ASAP--that's a really important time to get food to your muscles!
