i have been starving when i wake up in the mornings and loosing alot of weight over night. i started taking casen(sp?) protein at night before bed but i still wake up hungry. should i let this be or should i take another shake in the middel of the night to help?

I always weigh less in the morning than at night, but I would assume that's just water weight that I lose during my trips to the bathroom. IMO, if you're drinking enough water you will wake up at some point in the night to relieve yourself. I have taken this opportunity in past bulking phases to have another shake. Depending on the goals at the time I have done 30-40gms protein (usually casein) and 0-20gms maltodextrin.
I definitely noticed a difference in hunger and weight gain when I did that.

i have the same problem, i have tried drinkin a skake when i wake up to pee but when i do this i cant get back to sleep right off, it takes me about an hour for my stomach to settle and with my busy lifestyle, i cant sleep in to get a good 8hrs of sleepOriginally posted by ROCKETW19

If this is the fact, I don't think I'd drink it. I can get right back to sleep in under 5minutes so it's not a big deal to me, but sleep is really important. Another idea to try would be to have some fat with the casein before bed to see if that helps you feel more full longer.Originally posted by SkinnyGuy84
