  • Anyone who competes in bodybuilding, what do you eat as cheat meals?

    Just curious as to what some people eat as their cheat meals. I'm about 8 weeks out right now and I leave myself one cheat meal a week. that will stop at 4 weeks out however. I was wondering what do some of you eat?

    Since you are dieting for a comp, when you cheat, you need to cheat on only one energy source. Like, don't go and eat a burger and fries because you have 2 energy sources there. Carbs and fats. When you put those 2 energy sources together, there is much more chance you'll store some of what youeat. Whereas, if you stick with just one, that's the energy source your body will burn. :)

    When you cheat, eat like bacon and eggs and sausage, or a big fat chocolate dessert.

        Yep, I know it sucks. It's like a cheat really isn't a cheat when you have restrictions.

        That's why you diet, though!

        In all honesty, stay away from the buffets. They are just way too tempting.

        Go to like Longhorn steakhouse or something....

        Here's what you can get:

        Shrimp skewers for dinner, veggies and a salad

        AND the Chocolate Stampede for dessert...it's to DIE for! That's exactly what I cheated on 3 weeks out from my 2nd comp last year. And it didn't hurt me one bit. In fact, I lost more BF because it sped up my metabolism even more. But, I only had TWO cheats the enitre 16 week diet period.

          Might just go get me a big ribeye with some veggies. I have to keep away from sweets. I can't have a piece of cake, I have to eat the whole damn cake. I can't have a scoop of ice cream, I have to eat the half gallon........I'm 9.5 weeks out from the last show I'm doing, I can't wait till I can go to Popeyes and Hooters.....Gosh I miss them! :D

              lmg- you could actually go to Hooters for your cheat meal. The wings would be a fat source, nothing more. So, go on!
