  • Protein Bars

    Hey folks, need some input. For quite a while I have been eating Premier Nutrition's Cookies and Cream protein bars. Had 30 grams protein and very little sugar and TASTED GREAT!! I would usually order 6 boxes of 12 every month or so when I ordered my protein powder. I had been getting them from Mass Nutrition and now THEY'VE been discontinued. I searched long and hard before I found them and ate many crappy tasting bars until I stumbled across them. Does anybody have any personal use knowledge of a decent substitute? Damn, I'm going to miss the Cookies and Cream bars, it was like eating a candy bar that was good for you. Any help, as always, is appreciated. BB

    How many net carbs, other carbs, and sugar alcohol grams does it have. All that stuff is gimicks. It may be like eating a candy bar becuase those usually are like eating candy bars with extra protien. The only thing I have found worth while are Trioplex bars. There not going to taste as good as Premier Nutritions but they do sitll taste good. My favorite is Rasion Roll, my friends is the cocunut one.

      Bars are junk bro. If you need something quick go with a shake. Whole food meals are far better in every aspect.

        i agree with u bro. Ive taken bars in the past and some are hard to chew and not to mention they constipate the hell out of me. Thats why i carry the protein powder in a plastic bag and take it whenever i need it.

          7g fat(5 saturated), 23g carbs.(2g sugars-18g sugar alcohol, I guess I should have noticed that), 30g protein. Casein, soy protein, whey protein isolate, milk protein isolate, plus a bunch of other ingredients. I guess they tasted better than they were, huh? I guess I had looked so hard to find a decent bar, I didn't research this enough, probably just turned a blind eye 'cause they tasted so damn good. BB

            Yeah, I know. I would eat two a day, usually about 10:00am and then about 4:00pm., just to knock back hunger paings. The bars had about 260 calories and I treated them kinda like a mini-meal between breakfast and lunch and lunch and dinner. Also, I drink 3 protein shakes a day which I don't really count as meals. BB
