    Hey fellas...

Yo I was just checkin I have very solid calve development and I feel that working calves twice a week might be over training seeing that I do cardio six days a week for football training... Do you feel once a week is enough as long as its intense and I kick the shit out of them?

    Thanks The WARRIOR!

That's all I do. I work calves on sunday's with my hams, and I do cardio throughout the week so, anything more than once a week, would be detrimental to gains IMHO.

      small muscles recover faster,
so they should be able to take 2x/wk

I know that if I do a proper calf workout, 2x/wk would be overtraining. I only do them 2x/wk if I wimp out on my regular day, so then I make up for it next leg day!

i do calves on ham day and quad day but i've been told you can work them every day because they are such a dense muscle

I have read that you can work calves and forearms ED. Supposedly they are comprised of fast twitch muscle fibers which can take an insane amount of work. Try blasting them once a week or maybe one all out set on three different days. Either way, you are still getting three sets in. It kinda makes more sense to me to increase the intensity and spread the volume out over the week for stubborn muscles like calves.
