  • Who eats bread and...

what kind of bread do you eat?

I don't eat white bread normally (yeah, the very occasional burger or hot dog bun but, aside from that, rarely normal bread). I LOVE Costco's multigrain bread, it's quite heavy and more cal's and carbs than regular bread, like 2+ lbs a loaf, but the slices are huge so I cut them in half for a sammich and the bread itslef is so tastey and satisfying. Aside from that, I don't eat bread. What do you like?

I'm really strict about my bread choices. I only eat breads that don't have any processed/enriched/fortified grains and don't have any added sweetener of any sort. All my bread choices end up being pretty dry! Anyway, I eat some of this local brand, Natural Ovens, but mostly Ezekiel bread. It's an organic, sprouted grain bread. I even use their hamburger buns when I want to have turkey burgers.

Costco has another bread that my wife really loves. It's in a purple package and has flaxseed added-I forget the brand, but it's really healthy and tastes awesome!

I eat Natures Own Whole wheat. I've been thinking of switching b/c I heard that the multi-grain is healthier. I was eating Sara Lee bread, but I stopped b/c it contains High Fructose Corn Syrup..

What is costco's? I always hear a few people talking about it on the board, but when I look it up on the internet it's not a grocery type store. Also which is better, 100% whole wheat or multi grain?

It's similar to Sams Club. I like the Sarah Lee bread as well, but it's really thin. Right now I'm on CKD, so bread is out of the question until my refeed day.
