ok, i don't have too many problems putting on size, and am only really looking to get leaner right now but i seriously can't figure out how everyone here eats so much...

i'm 220 at about 20% and trying to eat my six meals a day but i'm just not hungry enough...it's such a chore to get even 4 in.

    diet follows:
    6:30am -pre workout apple.
10:30- post workout shake (i don't workout for that long, some of that is hottub and sauna time)
12:30- bouncers tuna mush or something like that
    4pm-chicken breast
    6:30-dinner...veggies and a protien.

after my shake i'm pretty sure i could go all day without eating i am so full...of course the ECA's have something to do with it, but damn i can feel my metabolism slowing down...

i think the body just gets used to it within time. I had a friend who would eat breakest around 8 am then wouldnt be hungry till like 5-6pm. He was interested in bbing, so i told him he has to eat more often every 3 hours. Eventually little by little he was eating 4 meals a day, followed by 5 meals in about 2 weeks later. Eventually he was eating 6 meals a day and was doing good. Sad that he gave it up cause he said it wasnt for him.

I see this all of the time. I had this problem a couple years ago. The trick is to find foods easy to eat that are high in cals and/or carbs. Here is a list...

      Peanut butter
Nuts (high in good fats, therefore, high in cals)
Bananas (1 small nanner has 30g of carbs!!)
      Raisins
Adding Olive oil to shakes/foods (2tbs = an extra 240cals and you barely notice it's in there!)

Here is a sample diet. This is for someone about 200lbs to make lean gains...

Meal 1. ¼ cup oats, 4 egg whites, 2 whole eggs, 8oz skim milk
Meal 2. 2 scoops whey in water, add 1-2 bananas
Meal 3. 6.5oz can of tuna with apple
Meal 4. Beef wrap (8oz ground beef, shredded cheese, light sour scream, whole wheat wrap)
Meal 5. Chicken/steak with spinach salad
Meal 6. 2 scoops whey in water, add 1tbs olive oil

my shake is pretty big too, maybe moving some of those cals to later might help.

it's 2 scoops in milk, with PB, a touch of honey and ice (and fresh mutmeg mmm) ...ends up being about 3/4 of a blender.

Also, should i get a meal before the gym? I don't want to barf and i've heard eating before the gym holds blood in your digestive tract away from your muscles...

It won't taste the same but try making your shake with water. That in itself with help you past that meal. The fats in the milk may be taking a while to digest and making you feel full longer.

Trust me you will get use to it. It will never be as smooth and creamy as with milk, but make it ahead of time so you can put it in the refrigerator and it will still taste good.

Yeh having water in your shake stops you from getting bloated. i just added 200 or 300 cals a fortnight so your body adjusts to the extra food slowly. You cant eat 3500 good calories a day straight off the bat. :)

i had a easy time eating a ton the past month or so, but for some strange reason the past 3 or 4 days i've just not been hungry at all, i've had to force it down.....i haven't felt sick or anything

but i'm gonna buy some weight gaining powder soon for when i just can't eat, i'll swallow down a shake
