Hubby added garlic and rosemary into our olive oil bottle for extra flavor and I used it to make my scrambled eggs in the morning. Well, I had to share... it makes the eggs taste so good.

I think she is talking about infusing the olive oil.
This how I do it. I take a few garlic cloves (maybe 4 cloves) smash them and put in a frying pan with a 1 bottle of olive oil. Turn on VERY low heat for 20-30 mins (longer the more flavor it will have). You shouldnt see any smoke. Put in back into the bottle and drop a rosemary sprig into it.
I make eggs with that oil this way - Italian style
4-6 egg whites
1 whole egg
5-6 chopped basil leaves
1-2 diced tomato
1/2 c w/ low-fat cheddar cheese.
1/4 c. diced onions
Saute olive oil onions couple mins. Scrabble the eggs and mix in the cheese. Add the diced tomatos & basil towards the end.
I think some ppl just put olive olive/thyme/garlic & rosemary in a bottle. let it sit.Last edited by NYCmitch25; 01-30-06, 06:13 PM.
