  • Critique my diet

    bulking diet... stats are 5'9.. 185 12-15%bf

    M1 - 8 egg whites 1 yolk, 1/2 cup oatmeal
    PWO - Protein shake, OJ
    M2 - tuna, 1/2 cup oatmeal, fish oil
    M3 - protein shake, either granola bar or pb crackers
    M4 - either chicken breast/ground beef/steak with 1 cup of spinach, fish oil
    M5 - same as M4 but with 1/2 cup oatmeal
    M6 - same as M5
    M7 - cottage cheese and protein shake

    and i'll mix up the oatmeal with rice and sweet potatoes
    and M3 is inbetween my classes so it has to be a protein shake and somethin else
    and i also eat some almonds/cashews/peanuts with my meals

      im just learining this diet stuff my self but i weight 240 9%bf and thats almost as much as i eat you should grow off that.

        I like this but Id change it around for a couple reasons. 1. Youre going to get tired of preparing and eating 8 eggs every morning. Also, at this point in the morning (unless youre nocturnally feeding) your cortisol and other stress hormones are going to be very high, so I suggest you have 4 eggs, 1/2 oats and a 100% whey shake. The whey will independently illict an insulin response and because insulin is an antagonist to cortisol, it will suppress the levels of cortisol and put you back into an anabolic state, not to mention its free protein.

        Very good. Finally people are catching onto vitamin C as a cortisol suppressent :)

        M2 - tuna, 1/2 cup oatmeal, fish oil
        Id save the fish oil for M3, since youre getting significant amounts in the tuna.

          the eggs have been gettin old but ive been forcin em down with water... now that im eatin 4, i can actually enjoy it somewhat

          its actually not bad... sometimes i'll make bbq chicken, then a steak or some hamburgers, maybe an italian chicken and spinach salad, or maybe another can of tuna... i mix up what im eatin so it actually isnt that bad
