If you mix dextrose and malto to get your carbs you can cut the dextrose back to about 2 tablespoons and it's much less sweet--and there may be benefits to using dextrose in conjunction with maltodextrin.Originally posted by SlashmonayHey I just started using Dextrose in my PWO shakes....I do 10 teaspoons....so thats 40g...is there an easier way then using 10 teaspoons?? it made my shake so sweet it was nauseating...with 2 scoops of whey

Well I don't think that would be a precise way seeing as how dextrose is more dense than whey...Originally posted by GoosteadyI just figure out how much the scoop is in my Whey, which is 30g, so then if I want 20g of dextrose or 40g then I just scoop out and eye it out...it's easy and you don't have to get any measuring devices out of the kitchen drawers.
an example would be if you had two of the same 30g scoops, one had whey protein powder and the other had iron ore in it, obviously the scoop with the iron would weigh more than 30g, the whey scoop is made for the volume/weight ratio of the whey itself not everything else.

This makes a lot of sense and I am very foolish lol. I feel as though my parents wasted their money on my college degree. Thanks for clueing me in, I will change my measuring technique. :moron:
