  • How many eggs?

I have been eating 3 eggs a day 5 days a week for the past 5months or so. I have heard some say its bad for cholesterol and others say its not. My cholesterol is around 145 and has not gone up at all. Think I should continue this ?

You have to be more specific. Is that your HDL or LDL and what is your goal? The cholesterol in eggs is good cholestorel.

youre fine. your cholesterol is really low. thats a lot of yolks in my opinion and though i guess yolks are considered healthy these days i still personally dont like going over one yolk a day. i dont know tho, if your cholesterol hasn't changed and continues to stagnate you're probably fine.

--or just separate them yourself. It's way too expensive for me to pay for egg whites or egg beaters when I can get a dozen eggs for 50cents and separate them myself.

I agree. It may take a few more minutes, but I buy a 5 dozen package for less than $3.

why take the yolks out, i've never understood this. Everyone thinks its to much fat, but its good fat. If you eat good fat, it will help you burn off the bad fat. Am i wrong on this? Besides that, the yolk of an egg will raise test blood levels naturally from the contents. Same with a bowl of oatmeal. I'm not talking anyting real significant, but i read that these two food items do slightly raise natural test levels. Every morning i have 3 whole eggs and a bowl of oatmeal. Gets me going fine.

It depends on what you are eating it with. It's best to keep carbs and fats out of the same meal for the most part. Your body will used the carbs and then store the fats.

It's too much cholestrol and fat for me. I also eat it first thing in the morning when I want the protein to get into my system ASAP so I don't want fat slowing it down too much. I have a minimum of 6 eggs and that would be way too much fat.

yeah, 6 yolks would be way to much. in that case i'd probably keep 2 in.

I hope they are not bad for you; I have a dozen every morning. Usually only 2 or 3 yolks though. ;)
